Anah Emerson-Taylor

PhD, LCSW

Anah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to adults, couples, seniors, and families. She treats symptoms of anxiety, depression, loss, grief, and relationship problems, bringing 10+ years' experience as a psychotherapist and 20+ years in directly related mental health services.

Anah utilizes Solution-Focused and Brief Therapy methods and is a Level 1 practitioner of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute. She especially enjoys teaching clients the CBT skills that effectively reduce anxiety and depression. She is also a Level 2 Gottman Couples Counselor and employs the Family Systems approach when counseling families.

Clients learn early on that Anah believes strongly in their resilience and capacity to learn and change. She partners with them to identify achievable goals and typically assigns relevant homework between sessions to develop resiliency that lasts long after therapy sessions have ended.

Anah holds degrees from three countries and loves to travel, read, bike, golf, garden, and watch her grandchildren in their activities.
