Meet Roberto Quiroz,

Owner & Director of Pathways Counseling Center

MS, LMHC

Originally from New York, Roberto had the opportunity to live in several different states including Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Texas before moving to Florida in 1996. Roberto received his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He had the opportunity to take on management positions in several agencies in the mental health field and was able to grow his knowledge working with several different populations of clients from children and adolescents to adults.

Roberto first began working at Pathways Counseling Center in 2008 on a part-time basis and several years later decided to stay full-time. He took ownership of Pathways Counseling in January 2023 from the founder and original owner, Nancy Makar. With the years working with Nancy, Roberto learned that “education is extremely valuable and experience is often the greatest teacher. Experience is the best teacher for learning adaptability habits in business.”

By sharing their experiences, he hopes to continue Nancy’s vision to facilitate growth and knowledge for those of you who are interested in learning ways to adapt and thrive in the world in which we live.

Kimberly Stone

Office Manager

Kim is a Florida native that joined the Pathways Counseling Center family in 2014. Kim attended Pasco Hernando State College, taking various medical and psychology classes. She was focused on becoming a nurse, but decided to shift when she joined Pathways. Kim attended Health Care Training of Florida, a branch of ATA, where she became certified in billing and coding.

Years ago, Kim assigned herself the “Holiday Director” at Pathways. Now an empty-nester, she’s found a love for building and rehabilitating furniture in her spare time.
